The Drymat non-invasive system uses a unique scientific approach to conquer the problem of damp in buildings once and for all.
The unit can then be wall mounted, plugged in and switched on to begin the drying process. The site is re-surveyed after a year and a report issued to record the reduction of the damp.
The ElektroAqua GPL unit emits electromagnetic waves of specific form, intensity and frequency, causing reversed electro-osmosis, it.means water particles in capillaries start moving towards the ground. As a result, the water is forced to the ground and the walls remain permanently dry. The time required to dry a building depends on a variety of factors: the initial amount of dampness, how salty it is, wall thickness and material type; it ranges between 6 and 36 months. The device is installed permanently while the building can be used as usual, regardless of the season, on the building walls, either in the basement, or on the ground floor, in a place central enough for the range to reach the whole of the building and above the dampness level. After drying is complete. the device should be left on to prevent dampness from returning
Over time, water along with dissolved salts can rise from ground level to a height of several meters. The surface tension of water molecules enables damp to rise through capillary action because of the difference in polarity between the walls (positive) and the damp soil (negative).
When turned on, the GPL unit uses unique patented technology to send weak low-frequency electromagnetic waves into the walls. This changes the polarity of the water ions so that the electro-osmotic movement of the water is downwards towards the lower potential, thus preventing the capillary rise of the water upwards
The benefits of ElektroAqua GPL patented technology
Highly effective even under extreme conditions. The unit has a radius of effectiveness up to 12 meters. In other words, a single unit is able to dry out an entire dwelling, including walls, cellars and roof. If a larger space needs to be dried out, additional units can be used, or existing units changed position on a regular basis.
Works in all kinds of settings and with all kinds of building materials. GPL is effective in houses, blocks of flats, outbuildings, vaults, cellars, monuments and listed properties. It works with the full range of materials — from bricks and stone to mixed masonry and concrete.
Extremely low running costs. GPL consumes tiny amounts of power — 2W, about the same as a portable radio. At current rates, running costs are less than £1.00 per month.
Totally non-invasive. GPL requires zero construction work. There’s no ground digging or boring into the wall structure. It doesn’t require anodes or wires to be installed in the wall or involve chemicals or membranes. There is no preparation works. Installation is quick and simple, requiring only an electric socket. GPL has economic benefits because rooms can be used as normal during drying out.
Long-life maintenance-free operation. The wall-mounted GPL unit is designed to run continuously and automatically for decades, without the need for maintenance. Its laboratory-tested estimated lifetime of trouble-free operation is more than 30 years.
Reduce heating costs. Damp is expensive. With GPL installed, you can save up to 65% on heating bills. A wet wall can contain as much as 450 liters of water per cubic meter. That takes a lot of heating.
Better living conditions. Thanks to GPL, the odor of mould associated with damp soon disappears, making the building a far more pleasant environment.
Ideal for historic buildings. Using GPL you can restore ancient monuments without having to drill into the masonry structure or use chemicals.
Radical advantages over traditional techniques. Physical and chemical approaches to damp-proofing have many drawbacks. They are difficult to use and often risky. In most cases after a few years the problem re-appears because the cause was not eliminated.
